Schedule a Visit to the School

Maccabi Academy welcomes any child whose parents embrace the mission and vision of the school. To be considered for admission, students must demonstrate the capacity for success in Maccabi Academy's dual curriculum of general studies and Judaic studies. Students are admitted on the basis of academic testing, school records, interviews, and past teacher recommendations.

Our admission process begins in January and continues through March. Children who are applying for Kindergarten must be academically ready to face the challenges of our accelerated Kindergarten program and they must be 5 by November 1st. All students will be screened by our staff before they are accepted for the following school year.

Eligible students in grades 1-5 will be accepted into grade levels where we have openings. We encourage parents to apply early for these spaces, as they are limited. It is not our policy to accept children midyear unless the family makes a move into the Asheville area during the school year.

SCHOOL TOURS

We encourage any parent who is considering Maccabi Academy for their child to take a school tour. In most cases, a school tour can be conducted at your convenience, any day of the week while school is in session. For a list of school closings, please check our calendar on the right side of this page. We ask that you call the school office at least 24 hours ahead of time to schedule your visit. Please allow at least one hour for a school tour and questions.

You may also use our on-line sign-up to schedule your visit to the school.
